Refusal of visa
Refusal of visa
Most Australian visa applications are refused by the Department of Home Affairs, and it’s very disappointing to accept the refusal after spending lots of time, money, and effort in the visa process.
Reasons for Refusal of Visa
The most common reasons for visa refusal are as follows:
- The applicant may apply for the wrong type of visa, as there are more than 140 types of visas.
- If they have already visited Australia on a temporary visa and records show that they have not left the country in time and they misuse the conditions, then the Department may refuse your visa.
- They may not submit the correct information in their documents, which means the information may not be genuine.
- The most common reason for the rejection of a visa is health issues. The application may be refused for people suffering from health issues like HIV, cancer and major heart issues
- An applicant may have past criminal records. For approval of a visa, the applicants should have good character.
- Applicants may have insufficient funds, which is the reason for the refusal of visas. They must prove to the department that they have enough funds to stay in Australia.
Once the Australian Visa has been rejected, you may have a range of options, like submitting an AAT (Administrative Appeals Tribunal) review, submitting a judicial review, requesting ministerial intervention, or submitting a new visa application. There is a time limit to submit a review application.
