If you don’t know an Australian citizen and you are preparing your documents from outside Australia then you should certify your copies to the person who is a citizen of the country you are in and is not related to you by any relationship. The person who certifies your copies should work on the occupations which are listed above.
You should make the copies of the original documents and provide the original document and your copies to the certifier.
The certifier checks whether your copy is same as the original or not. Then the certifier should write or stamp on the copy which proofs that it is the true copy of the original. They should write or stamp ‘This is a certified true copy of the original as sighted by me’. If the documents have more than one page then the certifier must write or stamp ‘I certify this and the following [number of pages] pages to be a true copy of the original as sighted by me’. The certifier should provide their full name, occupation, phone number, data, address and signature on the copy of the document. Then the copies are said to be certified copies.
