Equivalent Worker Report is the report written for an equivalent position workers which contains the wage rate of an equivalent position to the nominee in the business. If there is no Australian worker in an equivalent position,the labour market is researched to identify the wages are being paid to Australian worker by referring to job sites, salary surveys and industry awards for similar positions. An Australian Worker who is more or less experienced than nominated employee and does similar work is not considered equivalent to the nominated employee.

Employers who wish to nominate workers for subclass 482, 186 and 187 must meet certain salary and employment condition requirements which helps to make sure that overseas workers are not paid less than an Australian worker who are doing same job in same location i.e. Annual Market Salary Rate(AMSR).
